To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter books, the British Council has arranged an Art Competition. The topic is-

'Harry Potter in Bangladesh'.

Art competitions are important to motivate young artists and help them to develop their creative skills by exposing them to the contemporary talent in the field. By observing the work of their peers, students have the opportunity analyse and evaluate their techniques and outcomes vice versa those of other artists. Art competitions help children to be confident and punctual. It’s an opportunity for the artists to showcase their artwork, getting evaluated and awarded.

To participate in the art competition, interested participants will draw the picture in an A3 size art paper and submit it to the British Council, Dhaka University campus office by 14 October 2017. The participants must write ‘Artwork submission: Harry Potter in Bangladesh’ in the header of the envelope in which they are submitting their paintings.

Best three artists from each division (Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi) will be awarded prizes through a ceremony. The winners will be communicated through e-mails by 17 October 2017.
