It was a great excitement of going to the United Kingdom with my schoolmates. I went there with 24 members, 4 teachers and our tour coordinator and most of the members were my friends. It was 16 days of educational and sports tour. We started our journey on 7 July and we landed in London on 7 July but we still had a whole day as the UK is 5 hours behind from Bangladesh. We went there by Biman Bangladesh Airlines and the most interesting part was that the whole plane was empty and everyone was delighted to be in an environment like that. Everyone was walking around the plane like there was no one else. Our fun had already started from the airport and we had a lot of fun inside the plane. It took 11 hours to reach to the UK from Bangladesh; during this flight, we had two meals. We took some beautiful pictures from the sky and it was worth looking at it. Soon we landed at Heathrow International Airport at 3pm local time. As soon as we reached the immigration area we faced huge queue in front of the immigration desk. We waited almost 15 minutes in the queue. Fortunately, an officer came to rescue and redirected us to the diplomatic immigration desk. At the immigration desk, the immigration officer asked us few questions. I answered those questions with ease.

When we reached the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester of England, our attention was seized by the exquisiteness of the environment. We all were provided separate rooms in the same dormitory. Later, the whole campus of the university was introduced to us. More than 400 students from different parts of the world were also there and encountering them was amiable. The Royal Agriculture University (RAU) was a bit away from London but it was worth staying there. One of the members of Oxford International Educational Group came to take us at the RAU campus. The member which came to pick us was also a Bangladeshi and it was a great pleasure to meet her. Who would not love to visit the best university in the world? Visiting the University of Oxford on the initial day of the tour aspired everyone. Every edifice was magnificent from the corner to the front. Every glimpse gave us reverie as we walked all down to the Oxford Street. Trudging the Oxford Street can bring back a desolate individual to a dynamic one as the street is full of cheerfulness.

My first impression while seeing the Oxford campus was “well, I can see my future in here”. When we finished our lunch, it was almost the time to go back to our campus. Luckily we reached our campus early and we got some time to play cricket there. There were two large fields around the campus. One was for football and another one was for cricket. We played cricket there till evening. After the play, everyone had their dinner and went to bed as everyone was tired and sleepy. The nights were pleasant in Cirencester since every night there was something new that we did. We had to follow schedules for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that made us punctual. We proceeded to the Cambridge on the second day. No construction was missed by our eyes, which were getting more extensive every time we saw something great. The jollification we had in the bus-journeys was more than a picnic with uncountable laughs.

We faced some traffic while going to Cambridge. We started our journey early in the morning so the traffic didn’t cause that much problem. When we reached there we started walking and took a small tour of that area and it was awesome. After finishing our lunch, we went to visit the Kings College. It was one of the beautiful colleges I saw in England. From Kings College, we headed straight back to our campus. The summer programme consisted of cricket master classes which helped children develop their sporting skills. Moreover, the students of Oxford International School faced a cricket match with the Cirencester club. The programme had English classes as well where we got possibilities to level up our English we acquired varying styles of learning through activities.

In the middle of our trip, we stayed three days in London; London is the dream city for most of the people in the world and spending days there made us live our dream. The exploration of the British Museum visualized the antiquity of the past before us. The structures mesmerized us and no one could prevent clicking photos. All the Cricket lovers may have left back their heart in the Oval and Lords stadium since the pitches gave the cricket followers their contentment. We visited the Oval and Lords and took photos as well.

Cruising the Thames had always been on the list of travelling London. The weather had its finest situation during the cruise and the gentle breeze went tickling us all the way through. The pleasure of observing the Big Ben, the London Eye and the Tower Bridge was like the completion of life. Every little thing reminded us the preciousness of life. We relished the panorama of the entire South Bank from the London Eye. The Eye gave us the opportunity to look after the merriment of the city and exhilaration was running around us.

Madame Tussauds gave us an overwhelming adventure where there were terrific thrills with prominent wax figures. Above all of these our best time was at Cirencester; what not we did. This summer programme bestowed us with a life worth event and blossomed us into obliging beings. The memories that we lived are preserved within us for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Oxford International Junior Programmes!
