The British Council actively helps students and their parents to learn about study opportunities in the UK. Students and visitors to our annual Education UK Exhibitions will have the opportunity to seek advice on undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, scholarship prospects and information on living and studying circumstances in the UK. - Barbara Wickham, Director, Bangladesh

The 18th annual EducationUK exhibition commenced on 28 January 2016 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. This exhibition was focused for individuals who want to explore higher education experience in the UK, and to prepare them for a great career by giving them a competitive advantage in the international market. The exhibition took place on the 28 and 29 January 2016. More than 25 globally renowned UK universities have participated in the country's biggest UK education exhibition. 

Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, Honourable speaker of the parliament of the people's republic of Bangladesh, inaugurated the event as Chief Guest whereas Alison Blake, the british high commissioner to Bangladesh, graced the event as Special Guest.

Information about the UK visa application process, other opportunities offered by the British Council to learn English and internationally recognised qualifications from the UK were also available. The event also took place in Zinnia Hall, The Peninsula, Chittagong on 31 January 2016 and in Rose View Hotel, Sylhet on 3 February 2016.

This year more than 2,200 visitors joined our exhibition in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet. The UK institutions, participated in the exhibition acknowledged that not only the quality of the Bangladeshi students increased than that of the previous years, but also the application rate to those universities increased significantly.
