"Children learn from what you are than what you teach" – DuBois

Each and every actions and reactions by us mould the delicate minds of our children. The relationship between us and our children also determines their social-wellbeing. This is where the concept of positive parenting comes in.

The British Council Cultural Centre has organised an interactive session for you and your child under the EXPERT TALK series, where you will get interesting insights on Positive Parenting and how it can be done. This event is organised in order to observe International Mental Health Awareness Month.

The expert speaker of the event is our Commonwealth Scholar Dr. Farah Deeba, Associate Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka. She has completed her PhD from Macquarie University, Australia in 2015. She has been working as a consultant, clinical psychologist since 2003. She mostly works with children, adolescents and women experienced traumatic events. She has developed the psychological support service system for the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) at the divisional hospitals that is a program of Multi-Sectorial Program on Violence Against Women (MSP-VAW) a project of Bangladesh Government and Denmark Government

Participation Rule: Only one parent is allowed escorting one child.

Age limit of your Child: 7 years to 11 years

This event is organised only for our Library Members (both annual members and Teaching Centre Primary Plus Students)
