International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh is an annual film festival held countrywide, which showcases full-length features, shorts, experimental films made for and by children from around the world. Started in 2008, it is the only international film festival for children and young adults of the country. This year, from January 27 – February 2, the festival aims to screen nearly two hundred films created by renowned and aspiring directors from all over the world throughout the whole Bangladesh.

As a strategic partner of Children’s Film Society, British Council Bangladesh will not only showcase film in its cultural centre but also offer workshops such as ‘0 Budget Film Making’, ‘Film Club Development’ at schools and many more.

British Council Bangladesh has arranged this special afternoon of screening and conversation about the festival and workshops, ahead of this year’s Children’s Film Festival. Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, a leading writer, educationist and social activist will be present in the programme as a special guest.

Admission is free and the programme is open to all.
