A Letter Writing Competition
Shakespeare Lives is a global programme of events and activities commemorating the world's most popular playwright's work. This year, we are celebrating the enduring influence of a man whose legacy is undoubtedly unmatched. The British Council Bangladesh is inviting you to join us in celebrating the life of William Shakespeare.
When was the last time you put a stamp on something other than a bill? While everyone loves to receive a handwritten card, very few actually take the time to write one. Nowadays, we are losing the art of writing letters. To revive the lost art we are going to initiate a creative competition named ‘Letter to Shakespeare’ where the letters will be written to the greatest writer in English Language, William Shakespeare.
This competition will provide you an exciting opportunity to express your feelings towards Shakespeare's works and legacy in an innovative way. You can write a letter to us to participate in this competition. Attractive prizes are waiting for the best writers who will be selected by 23 April 2016.
All you have to do is to read or watch a piece written by Shakespeare, either a play or a poem, and express your feelings through the letter (in English) within one side of an A4 paper. You can also use a letter writing pad of your choice.
