Oxford International Education Group is inviting schools and junior cricket teams to join the Oxford International Cricket and Leadership Programme. It’s a two-week long programme which will be held at the Royal Holloway University of London, Egham and Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. The programme comprised of cricket coaching, project work, interactive lectures, master classes and case studies. Students of age 7-17 will be eligible to apply for the programme. They will also be able to visit different iconic places of Oxford, Cambridge and Bath during their trip in the UK.
The British Council organised a networking event in association with Education Excellence, a British Council trained agent to promote this programme of Oxford International Education Group on 29 April 2017 at the Dhaka University campus area office. There were 18 participants from different English medium schools including Lakehead Grammar School, DPS STS School, Tulip International School, International School Dhaka (ISD), Oxford International School etc. The participants were mainly teachers, school principals and coordinators from these renowned schools.
The aim of the event was to share information about the programme so that representatives of these schools can encourage students to apply for the programme. The whole programme will help the students to develop their ability to express academic knowledge in an international scenario. It will further enrich their key skills such as leadership, public speaking, team building, persuasion, debating, critical thinking, argumentative analysis, problem-solving and build greater knowledge and understanding of the world.
The school representatives very much welcomed this initiative and suggested to bring more UK institutions to offer more interesting programmes like this.
