The British Council has recently organised Spot Admission Day in Dhaka and in Chittagong separately. The event was held in Dhaka on 17 July 2016 and in Chittagong on the 19 July 2016. Spot Admission Days were organised to provide the UK institutions with an opportunity to guide students and accelerate their decision-making process to study in the UK. A total of 103 students participated in both the events.
Delegates from the University of Greenwich, University of South Wales and Queen Mary, University of London, along with local representatives, participated in both the events. The candidates were requested to bring academic papers and IELTS score (if they had taken the test) for assessment by the UK delegates and local representatives at the event. During the event, the delegates assessed the academic documents of the students. The students were interviewed and spot admissions were offered to the potential candidates on the same day.
General students exploring other options were also provided with provisional offer letters after documents were assessed by the local representatives. This event was organised so that the UK institutions could get to meet potential and focused applicants from Bangladesh who are interested in applying to their institutions.
