The University of East London held 'spot admission' events in 3 British Council offices across Bangladesh, welcoming around 100 prospective students in Dhaka, 121 in Sylhet and 28 in Chittagong.
The counselling sessions covered a number of different areas, including the key features of UK qualifications, the subjects offered by the university, common study methods in the UK, entry and English language requirements, tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, scholarship opportunities and visa related information.
The University received many strong applications as a result of the sessions and issued offer letters in all three locations. They also received many queries through email and Facebook. Students showed particular interest in the Business Studies, Engineering and Architecture degree programmes of the university.
