Pohela Boishakh is the Bangla New Year. It is celebrated on 14 April in Bangladesh. To bid goodbye to the old year and welcome Bangla New Year 1424, the British Council, in partnership with Mr. Noodles is going to organise 'Borsho Boron Uthshob' at the Dhaka University campus office which will include fun games, colourful stalls and a cultural programme. The cultural programme will include shadow puppets show, drama performance, dance performance and chorus song.
Students from our Library partner schools in Dhaka city will participate in the event and sell various products including crafts and paintings through their stalls. The celebration will start at 12 pm and continue till 7 pm. It is open for all. Please visit us along with your friends, family members and welcome 1424 of the Bangla calendar with us.
