The Partner Schools Global Network (PSGN) is the community of schools that offer a UK curriculum leading to exams such as the O level, IGCSE, and A level, administered in cooperation with the British Council. These schools are located across South Asia, the Middle East, North and sub-Saharan Africa, in Cyprus, Colombia and beyond.

The training workshops under the PSGN programme are designed to reflect the principles of best practice behind a UK curriculum and a modern teaching methodology and offer a chance to engage with the content of the workshops to apply in the classroom. Our aim is to offer high-quality products and services that support our leaders, teachers, learners, and parents. For our teachers, our support includes a quality assurance self-assessment tool and an excellent suite of in-service teacher-training workshops for both primary and secondary teachers.

The training workshops were arranged by the British Council in Dhaka University campus office and The Peninsula Hotel, Chittagong on 16 and 23 September 2017 respectively. These workshops were aimed at the primary and secondary school teachers for their systematic professional development. This time the topic was ‘Assessment & Learning’ and ‘Lesson Planning’. The workshops engaged more than 90 teachers from many PSGN schools and the sessions were conducted by our highly experienced trainers.
Teachers participating from Dewpoint School said, "We never want to miss such workshops of the British Council."

Teachers participating from PSGN schools were coached with some vital teaching skills which would surely help them in their professional development. Participants are eager to participate in the future workshops as well.
