The British Council and HSBC partnered to offer opportunities to teachers and students to learn about rivers and environmental issues in Bangladesh and the UK.
In 2013 and 2014, a part of the Rivers of the World programme involved displaying artworks of Bangladeshi and UK students on the banks of the rivers Surma (Sylhet) and Thames (London).
In Dhaka, the Rivers of the World artworks engaged thousands of students, teachers and spectators for a number of days.
