Introduction

How often do you revisit a lesson plan and ask yourself, “What really happened, and what did I learn?” If the answer is “not often enough,” this session is for you.

Join two experienced teachers Imlirenla from India and Romila Kulathilake from Sri Lanka as they explore how lesson planning, when paired with reflection and feedback can become a powerful tool for ongoing professional growth. Lesson planning isn’t just a task—it’s an opportunity.

In this session, you will see how comparing your plans to what actually happens in class can lead to powerful insights. You will also learn how feedback from students and peers can help shape your development journey and inform your next teaching steps. Don't let years of lesson planning sit unused. Turn them into evidence for growth and a springboard for your professional future.

What to expect in this session?

Discover how to bridge the gap between what’s planned and what actually happens in the classroom. Through real teaching examples, you will explore:

✅ How to design lesson plans that truly meet your learners’ needs

✅ Ways to spot patterns and habits in your lesson planning

✅ Simple reflection routines that improve your teaching

✅ Practical strategies to collect and use feedback from peers and students

By the end of this session, you will:
