About the opportunity 

We are looking for a supplier to research the film and the extended reality sectors in Bangladesh and their networks with the UK. Organisations and individuals globally are invited to apply, and we encourage international collaborations. To be eligible, your team must consist of at least three members, with at least one member based in Bangladesh and/or the UK. 

This research initiative is intended to furnish critical data and insights to contribute to climate-sustainable, ethical, and inclusive growth in the Bangladesh arts, film, and extended reality sectors and in cultural relations between Bangladesh and the UK. Interested suppliers are invited to apply for any one of the following lots:  

Lot 1: Film sector  
Lot 2: Extended Reality sector  
Lot 3: Both Film sector and Extended Reality sector  

Key deliverables 

The duration of this research initiative will be from March 2025 to September 2025.  

Lot 1: Film sector 

  • A national baseline map
  • A policy review
  • A report of opportunities and challenges expressed by sector stakeholders 

Lot 2:  Extended Reality (XR)

  • A national baseline map 
  • A policy review 
  • A report of priorities expressed by sector stakeholders 

Lot 3: Both Film sector and Extended Reality sector 

  • All key deliverables in both lots, Lot 1: Film sector and Lot 2: Extended reality sector.

Budget
The indicative budget for this research initiative is in the range of GBP 30,000 to GBP 34,000 equivalent local currency for the complete activity, including all applicable costs and taxes.
