With the British Council, students can now sit UK university exams in Bangladesh – we are an examination centre for students following distance learning programmes or studying at UK university affiliate institutes in Bangladesh.

We accept requests from universities, institutes, professional bodies and candidates to administer their exams at any time of the year.

We’ll look after the whole process, from providing the exam venue and professionally trained supervisors to having your exams processed by the exam board.

All you need to do is prepare for your exam and turn up on exam day.

The University of London International Programmes offer a wide variety of qualifications for external students studying around the world, including diplomas, degrees and post-graduate qualifications. How do I register?

You will have to register with your univesity first. Please request your university to contact us directly to administer your exams on their behalf. For any sessional exams we will post the registration link and relevant registration deadlines in the registration section below.

The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. Therefore, please understand that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.

Refund policy

For educational, professional and other exams, the British Council will refund the local fees in following cases only:

  1. Serious illness, such as that requiring hospital admission, or serious injury, but not minor illnesses such as a colds or flu (a doctor’s report in English is required)
  2. Natural disaster
  3. Loss or bereavement – death of a close family member
  4. Hardship/trauma – being a victim of crime or of a traffic accident.

If you would like to request a refund for any of the above reasons, kindly submit your refund application before the end of the registration period. Please note that the British Council reserves the right not to consider applications made after the test date.

Candidates are requested to submit a completed refund form along with appropriate supporting evidence, i.e. a medical certificate, local chairman/commissioner certificate, death certificate or police report within five working days of the test date.
