MD Adil Chawdhury

Durham University

Head of Planning at Power Grid Bangladesh PLC, Adil oversees System Planning, Project Planning, Environment & Social, & ICT. He drives strategic grid expansion, renewable integration, & grid reliability. A Commonwealth scholar at Durham University, he researched advanced renewables and led R&D on biomass gasification. Adil established the GSIF simulation lab, optimizing transmission, future-proofing the grid, and ensuring sustainable, high-quality green power.

Mohammad Ismat Kadir

University of Southampton

A Professor at Khulna University and Senior IEEE Member, Dr. Mohammad is also a Fellow of IEB. A Commonwealth Scholar, his research includes multicarrier systems, machine learning in wireless, and quantum communications. He promotes industry-academia collaboration and motivates students towards research and higher education.

Mohammad Jahirul Hoque

School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS)

Leeds Metropolitan University

A two-time Commonwealth Scholar, earning a Master’s at Leeds Met and a PhD at SOAS. On returning to Bangladesh, Jahirul began teaching at SUST. Appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Metropolitan University, making history as its first graduate and one of the youngest academics in Bangladesh. He advocates for social justice, equitable governance, and environmental sustainability through public dialogue.

A trailblazer in global mental health, Tasdik merges digital innovation with advocacy to amplify marginalized voices. Recognized by Canada’s Mental Health Commission, he co-develops tools for Bangladesh’s deaf communities. With 100+ publications, he bridges research, mentorship, & policy for inclusive well-being. An award-winning advocate, he advances mental health equity for vulnerable populations worldwide.

Mohammad Rakibul Hasan

Falmouth University

University of Oxford

A photographer, humanitarian filmmaker, and visual artist, Mohammad Rakibul Hasan has spent over two decades documenting global issues. His award-winning work, including the Lucie Award and One World Media Awards, has been exhibited and screened globally, amplifying human rights, environmental, and social narratives.

Dr. Shahman Moishan

University of Birmingham

An Associate Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Dhaka, Dr. Shahman is a scholar-playwright-director with a focus on modern theatrical forms in postcolonial Bangladesh. He explores the collective unconscious through a critical understanding of roots, histories, and the power of performance. He earned his PhD in political Shakespeare and intercultural performance from the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, UK.

A professor at IBA, Dhaka University, Dr. Melita earned her PhD from the University of Manchester on a Commonwealth Scholarship. She specializes in sustainability and governance, shaping education, research, and corporate ethics. As an Independent Director on multiple boards, she fosters ethical leadership and governance excellence across sectors.

Mustakim Ahmed Sunny

Queen’s University Belfast

A software engineer, digital strategist, and peace advocate, Mustakim merges innovation with policy for global impact. As a tech consultant, he advances digital transformation and AI solutions. An NCUK Foundation Scholar, he advises the PNND on nuclear security. Through the Ridwan Ahmed Ami Memorial Trust, he leads humanitarian efforts, honoring his late brother’s legacy.

Shamsin Ahmed

The University of Edinburgh

As the Founder, CEO, and Lead Consultant of Identity Inclusion, Shamsin champions an inclusive society through youth leadership and institutional change. As a Chevening scholar, she also trains young people to provide psychosocial support and connect with families in need. Along with having trained over 2000 advocates for community-based mental health services, her work as a development consultant has impacted millions.
