The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) is the academic organisation in the UK for general practitioners. Its aim is to encourage and maintain the highest standards of general medical practice and act as the ‘voice’ of general practitioners on education, training and standards issues
In an attempt to be more relevant to the normal every-day practice of international candidates, the RCGP has developed an international version of its membership examination, the MRCGP[INT], which maintains the same academic rigour as the UK exam whilst taking into account various cultural, organisational, linguistic and epidemiological differences and local challenges non-UK doctors face in their work.
The exam is currently offered twice a year.
