Through the British Council’s International School Award scheme, schools in Bangladesh can develop themselves professionally, adding an international dimension to their skills. It is available to all government and non-government schools in Bangladesh, including madrassahs, recognising different levels of achievement in international work.

To gain the Award, schools need to submit evidence of the impact of international strategies and activities and demonstrate the engagement of the school with international project activities. The three-stage journey of achieving the ISA assists schools new to this area to embed an international dimension in a step-by-step process.
